How we handle your information

Last updated July 3, 2026. Growing Hands for Brighter Futures ("GH4BF," "we," "us") is a York, PA 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 39-2686408). This page explains what information gh4bf.org collects, why, and how it's protected.

What we collect

When you use a form on this site — to volunteer, request supplies, ask about sponsorship, sign up for a drive, or contact us — we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), and any message you write. If you're requesting supplies for your family, that message may include the number and ages of children in your household, provided voluntarily by you. We do not require proof of need or income documentation for any request.

We do not use cookies, third-party analytics, or advertising trackers on this site. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may keep standard technical server logs (like IP address and request time) for security and reliability — this is routine web infrastructure, not tracking, and we don't access it to identify individual visitors.

Donations

All donations are processed by Zeffy, a third-party donation platform — not by gh4bf.org directly. When you donate, you leave our site and enter payment information (card details, billing address, etc.) directly with Zeffy. GH4BF never sees or stores your payment information; it's handled entirely under Zeffy's own privacy policy and security practices. We only receive your name, donation amount, and contact information for the purpose of sending a thank-you and, where applicable, a tax acknowledgment.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit only to respond to you — to coordinate a volunteer sign-up, follow up on a supply request, discuss a sponsorship, or answer a question. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share limited information with program partners (for example, a co-organizing church or school) only when necessary to coordinate a specific drive you signed up for.

Where it's stored

Form submissions are stored in our database (Supabase), accessible only to GH4BF's volunteer leadership. Email sent to info@, volunteers@, or donate@gh4bf.org is handled through Google Workspace under Google's own security and privacy practices.

Photos and children

This site and our social media pages feature real photos from our events, including photos of children who attend our drives and distributions. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children — information about a child (like a supply request) is always submitted by a parent or guardian. If you have a question or concern about a photo of your child appearing on this site, contact us and we'll address it promptly.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time by emailing info@gh4bf.org. As an all-volunteer organization, we reply within 1–2 business days.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if how we handle information changes, and update the date at the top. This policy was last reviewed July 3, 2026.
