Acts of Kindness

Love doesn't take a summer break. Between our big drives, we show up year-round with surprise supply drops, community events, and emergency support — whenever and wherever York County families need us.

Year-Round Presence

We don't disappear in September

The Back to School Drive runs in August. The Holiday Toy Drive runs in December. But families in York County need support in February, May, and July too.

Acts of Kindness is our answer to that — a standing commitment to show up whenever and however we can, between the big events. It's less structured and more responsive. That's the point.

These moments are often the ones that matter most to families: the surprise box of supplies that shows up when a child is falling behind, the emergency hygiene kit after a house fire, the community cookout that reminds neighbors they're not alone.

Volunteer with us

Acts of Kindness efforts are driven by what the community tells us they need. If you know a family that needs support, reach out.

We partner with local organizations so resources get to the right people fast. No bureaucracy, no waiting lists.

Know a family in need?

What This Looks Like

Kindness in action

Surprise Supply Drops

We show up unannounced at community centers, housing complexes, and churches with supplies for families who need them.

Community Appreciation Events

Cookouts, family days, and neighborhood gatherings that bring people together and remind the community we're here year-round.

Emergency Supply Support

When a family loses everything to a fire or flood, we mobilize quickly to get them basic supplies — diapers, hygiene products, school materials.

Partner Collaborations

We team up with local churches, businesses, and nonprofits throughout the year for joint drives and community service projects.

School Partnerships

We maintain ongoing relationships with York County school counselors who connect us with students who need mid-year supply support.

Volunteer Recognition

We celebrate the people who make all of this possible — regular shoutouts, appreciation events, and genuine community belonging.
